OurList: Shared Grocery List

How it is used

OurList keeps one grocery and shopping list on every phone in your household, updated the moment anyone changes it. Add milk on your way home and it's on your partner's list before they reach the store. Check things off as they go in the cart, and everyone watches the list get shorter. No more coming home with a third loaf of bread.

SORTED BY AISLE

Add things in whatever order they come to mind, and OurList sorts them into the order you walk the store: produce, bakery, dairy, deli, meat, frozen, pantry. It knows "milk" and "süt" alike, so a household that shops in two languages still shares one list.

QUICK TO ADD

Type "2 lb chicken thighs" and the amount sits next to the item. Tap Done on the keyboard and it stays open for the next one, or add several at once with commas. Suggestions come from a built-in grocery catalog and from what your household actually buys. Change amounts with + and −.

YOUR ORDER, YOUR STAPLES

Drag an item by its handle to reorder it within an aisle. Mark the things you always buy as staples, and after a shop one tap puts them all back on the list. When more than one person shares the list, each item shows who added it.

WORKS WITHOUT SIGNAL

Your list lives on your phone, not just on a server. Add things in the back of the store with one bar, and it syncs when you walk out.

WEEKLY MEAL PLANNER

Plan dinners for this week and the weeks ahead. Tap Add to list on a dinner, jot down what it needs, and the ingredients go onto your grocery list. OurList remembers them for the next time anyone cooks it.

SHARE IN SECONDS

Your list is ready the moment you open the app. Send an invite link and whoever opens it is in, or give them the eight-character code. Whoever sets up the household is its owner. The owner can get a new invite code, remove someone, or make someone else the owner before leaving. No sign-up and no email required. Sign in later if you want your lists to survive a lost or new phone.
