How to play

Honeycomb is a daily word puzzle: seven letters in a hive, one in the center, and one question. How many words can you spell? It's a relaxed spelling game you can finish over coffee or come back to all day.

HOW TO PLAY

• Make words of 4 letters or more from the seven letters in the hive.
• Every word has to use the center letter.
• Letters can repeat, as often as you like.
• Longer words score more points.
• Every puzzle has at least one pangram, a word that uses all seven letters, and it earns a bonus. You never need it to finish.
• Made a typo? The word shakes and stays on screen so you can see what went wrong.

CLIMB NINE RANKS

Your rank is a share of the day's best possible score, so an easy day and a hard day feel the same. Climb from Egg through Worker, Scout, and Honeymaker all the way to Hive Master. Words from the day's list move your rank. Rarer words that the dictionary knows still earn points and show up as "beyond the hive," so no word in the dictionary is ever thrown out.

ONE PUZZLE FOR EVERYONE

Everyone playing in your language gets the same seven letters on the same day. Share a result card with your rank and score and never your words, so nothing gets spoiled. Or challenge a friend with a link that opens the same puzzle.

WEEKLY LEAGUE

Your daily scores add up over the week. You're grouped with players in your tier: the top of the group moves up, the bottom moves down.

STREAKS, HINTS, AND THE ARCHIVE

• Keep a daily streak going. Miss a single day and a friend can bring your streak back once with one tap on a link you send.
• Stuck? Watch an ad for a hint: the hardest word left, tucked into a sentence that gives away its meaning, read out loud.
• Play past puzzles from the archive. Archive days don't count toward your streak.
• Add the home screen widget to see today's letters and your score.
• Turn on a daily reminder for when the new puzzle is ready.

PLAY OFFLINE

The dictionary is built in and the letters are worked out on your phone, so you can play on a plane. The league, challenges, streak saves, sign-in, and hints need a connection.

ENGLISH AND TURKISH

Each language has its own alphabet and its own dictionary. Pick a language in the app and the puzzle follows it.

NO ACCOUNT NEEDED

Play as a guest. Sign in with Zaparo ID (Google or an email code) to keep your league place, name, and profile picture with your account. Your found words, streak, and archive progress stay on this phone.

ADS

Honeycomb shows ads: a banner on the results screen and an ad you can choose to watch for a hint. Nothing is sold in the app.
