How to play
Zaparo Chess is online chess with a coach built in. Play rated games against players at your level, or play the computer offline, and afterwards a full-strength Stockfish engine reviews every move and shows you the exact moment the game turned.
One tap after any game walks back through it move by move on the board, grades each move from best to blunder, and shows an arrow for the better move wherever you went wrong.
PLAY CHESS ONLINE
- Rated games at seven time controls, from 1-minute bullet to 30-minute classical
- Four separate ratings: bullet, blitz, rapid and classical
- Matched by strength, so you face players near your level
- When no one near your rating is searching, a practice opponent at your level takes the seat, so games start in seconds
- Send quick chat phrases, offer a draw or resign
- Block or report a player without them knowing
PLAY WITH FRIENDS
Send an invite link, or add a friend with their friend code. You both land in the same lobby, pick the time control and whether the game is rated, and start when you are both ready. Start a private club, share the invite link, and see who reaches the highest rating this week or of all time.
CHESS COACH AND GAME ANALYSIS
- Stockfish game review and analysis for online games and games against the computer
- Every move graded: best, good, inaccuracy, mistake, blunder
- Ask for a hint when you are stuck
- An optional warning before you play a blunder
- Take back a move against the computer
- Play chess vs the computer at seven levels, from novice to master, even offline
YOUR GAMES
Every finished game is saved on your phone, and a game in progress survives the app closing. Open any of them to review it move by move, star the ones worth keeping, replay online games at their real pace, load a game or position from PGN or FEN, and set up any position in the board editor.
NO SIGN-UP
Zaparo Chess works the moment you open it: no sign-up screen, no email. Sign in later if you want your ratings and online games to follow you to a new phone.
